When surgery is needed, we are here to provide the highest standard of care to ensure a comfortable and safe experience for your pet.

There are always risks with anesthesia, no matter the age or breed of pet. We take every precaution to minimize these risks by providing an anesthetic protocol tailored to meet each pets needs. Prior to any surgical procedure a thorough physical exam is done to assess your pets over-all health and blood work is performed to evaluate internal organ function.  Our surgical suite is well equipped with state of the art anesthetic monitoring equipment, and a dedicated nurse monitors each patient the entire time they are under anesthesia and in recovery.

Surgical services include:

Spays/Neuters:

For Female pets: Spaying or an “ovariohysterectomy” reduces the incidence of mammary tumors when done at young age and eliminates the need for emergency spay surgery for pyometras later in life.

For Male pets: Neutering reduces incidence of prostate cancer, eliminates the chances of testicular tumors later in pet’s life, reduces roaming/humping/spraying behavior.

This is also a good time to get a microchip, remove deciduous teeth (retained baby teeth) or fix any umbilical hernias that may be present since birth
